Dr. Tom has been creating beautiful smiles for 32 years. He has had the personal joy of treating the children of many former patients. He is committed to keeping up on state-of-the-art techniques that enables his office to deliver world-class quality care. His practice focuses only on the specialty of orthodontics for children, teenagers and adults. Traditional braces, clear ceramic braces, and Invisalign techniques are offered.
Dr. Tom was born and raised in California in the city of Fresno, where he was valedictorian of his high school class. After graduating with a degree in chemistry from the University of the Pacific (again valedictorian of his class), he graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry as a prestigious Regents’ Scholar. He then completed two specialty residencies in hospital dentistry and orthodontics at the renowned University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Health Center. He was recently one of one hundred orthodontists invited to the first Opal Orthodontics Select Congress, which was attended by many professors and researchers in the field of orthodontics. For the last several years, he has been a certified Premier and Teen Invisalign provider.
Dr. Tom has served on peer review, proofread and help edit the first copy of the OSHA manual for the California Dental Association, and has been involved in many Tri-Valley Community activities, including coaching basketball at the city, CYO, and middle school level. He is the father of one son. When not at the office, he and his wife are enjoying life in the Pleasanton community. He enjoys watching and attending a variety of sports at all levels, including high school, college, and professional.
